ACA Atlantic Conservation

The ACA wants our waterways to stay clean and navigable – now and for the future.

Conservation in the Atlantic Division

Throughout the year volunteers have generously given their time to help with: an Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) Strategy Session, an AIS Survey of the lake, outreach and education on aquatic invasives, terrestrial invasive assessments of the land in and around camp, identification and removal of invasives from land and water, and working out future plans to keep our habitats healthy.

Initiatives

Potential upcoming projects include: trail and habitat restoration, planting native plants and pollinators, working with parks to install a boot brush station by a trailhead, increasing awareness of invasives on land and water, taking steps to prevent the introduction of more invasive species, and more!  Please let me know if you’d like to get involved or have ideas for new projects here at Lake Sebago or elsewhere in the Atlantic Division.
