Fun for Kids

Bring the whole family!

On the Water at Lake Sebago

There is a swim dock which includes a kiddie pool for the youngest and the opportunity to go kayaking, canoeing, sailing and kayak fishing (catch and release).

On the weekends for July 4th and Labor Day, the famous Scupper Races are held for children of all ages. And on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend, a Rock to Dock swim, often won by children. Activities are organized by volunteers including the children themselves.

What else can kids do?

Watch the events calendar for additional activities are scheduled such as a treasure hunt, ice cream socials, crafts, and nature walks. In front of the Pavilion there is a court that can be used for basketball or badminton. Or kids can just explore the camp and the surrounding park.

On rainy days, there is a library in the Pavilion with lots of books for kids of all ages, games, puzzles, and a table tennis table. Chinese checkers anyone?

At the end of the day

After all the swimming, the canoeing, the kayaking, the hiking and playing a little table tennis or basketball, it’s time for dinner, preferably cooked over an open fire and roasting marshmallows under the stars.

Depending on the weekend, there may be a potluck at the Pavilion, bingo, movie night, or music played by fellow ACA members. Once or twice a season, the kids in camp put on a light show.

Check out our Events calendar for upcoming activities.
